The Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Society holds regular events for both members and the community.

  • Hamvention Bus 🔗

    The Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Society is happy to announce that it will once again be sponsoring a bus trip to The Hamvention at the Green County Fairgrounds in Xenia, Ohio.

    While the Hamvention runs for several days, the CARS bus will only be visiting the Hamvention on Saturday, May 17, 2025. The 56-passenger bus is modern, comfortable, and wheelchair accessible. We will not be stopping for breakfast on the way down, but there may be a fast-food stop on the way home.

  • Club Meetings 🔗

    CARS members meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM. Non-members are welcome to attend the meeting. Only members are allowed to vote.

    The next club meeting is on at Busch Funeral Home, 7501 Ridge Rd, Parma, OH 44129. The meeting will feature TBA.

  • Nets 🔗

    CARS conducts a weekly net at 9 PM on Wednesdays on our Cleveland-area repeater system. The net is open to all amateur radio operators in the area. The next net is and the net controller will be AC8TN.

  • VE Sessions 🔗

    CARS hosts VE Sessions on the second Sunday of odd months at 9:15 AM at the Old Elmwood Recreation Center, 6200 Pete Wisnieski Pky, Independence, OH 44131. Anyone looking to obtain or upgrade their amateur radio license is welcome. The next VE session is .

  • Field Day 🔗

    Field Day 2025 is the weekend of June 28-29, starting and ending . CARS will be holding our annual Field Day event at Nike Park/James Day Park in Parma, OH.

  • Board Meetings 🔗

    The board meeting schedule is set in January each year. All Club members are welcome to attend Board Meetings. Only Board Members and Officers are able to vote. A quorum of six voting members is required to pass any motions.
